The world’s first multi discipline race along the length of Lake Baikal, the world’s biggest and deepest ice lake takes place in Siberia in March 2012.

Based on the highly successful North and South Pole Races, the race will offer two race distances, the 155 mile sprint or 379 mile marathon.

Race categories will include kite skiing, mountain biking, cross country skiing, running, walking and skating or any combination of these. This is an entirely new category of extreme racing for those who wish to experience the challenge of racing on ice in Siberia, one of the world’s most beautiful and harshest wildernesses.
